Now, Park Golf — Privacy Policy

Effective September 30, 2026

한국어

Now, Park Golf ("the app") has no sign-up and no developer-run server. It does not ask for your name, phone number or email. Everything you record stays on your device. To show ads and maps, the companies listed below process some information. Here is exactly what goes where.

1. Stored only on your device

A nickname or surname is enough for companions. This data is deleted when you delete the app, and you can delete rounds, reservations and companions one by one inside the app. With no account or server, the developer has no copy, and records do not move to a new device.

2. Location

The app reads your current location only when you tap "Nearby courses" or "My location". It is used to measure distances to courses and to show your position on the map. It is not stored and not sent to the developer. Permission is requested the first time you tap; without it, the app searches around the map center instead. You can change the permission in your device settings at any time.

3. Notifications

If you turn on a booking-open alert for a favorite course, the app shows a notification before that course's booking window opens. The alert time is calculated on your device from the opening schedule published by the course operator and scheduled in advance (a local notification). Nothing is sent to the developer or any other company's server for this, and no push token is created.

On first launch, the app first asks on its own screen whether you would like alerts; tapping "Get alerts" opens the system permission prompt. Every other feature works without it, and the app may ask again when you turn on an alert for a course. You can turn notifications off any time in your device's notification settings. Opening schedules can change, so please check the operator's notice before booking.

4. Maps

Maps are provided by NAVER Maps (NAVER Cloud Platform). While loading map tiles, NAVER may process device information and the map area being loaded, under NAVER's policies. The app does not send your location to NAVER separately; your position marker is drawn on the device.

5. Ads

The app is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may use device information such as the advertising identifier to select and show ads, under Google's policies.

Why we ask about tracking — on iOS, the app asks on first launch whether to allow tracking. If allowed, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is used to choose personalized ads. If not, every feature still works; ads are simply not personalized. You can change this any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. In the EEA and UK, an ad consent form is also shown on first launch.

On Android, Google may use the advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in your device's Settings › Privacy › Ads.

6. App configuration file

On launch, the app reads a public configuration file on GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com) to check for new versions and ad spacing, and downloads the public course list only when a newer one is available. None of your information is sent. As with any web request, GitHub may process standard access logs such as your IP address.

7. External pages and phone calls

Tapping Book or Info page on a course opens the operator's website (a local government or facility corporation) in your browser, and Call opens your phone app. Any booking, payment or call after that is between you and the operator; the app does not see or store it. Those websites follow the operator's own privacy policy.
